Ron Paglia

Ron is the most reputable fitness professional in the Hudson Valley.  He is certified both nationally and internationally, through NFTA - The National Fitness Trainers Association), as both a Group Exercise Instructor, and by The American Council on Exercise (ACE), as a Personal Fitness Trainer. He is also a member of IDEA, The International Association of Fitness Professionals.

 

Ron’s unique, integrated approach to training has earned him high accolades among peers and clientele alike. Many of Ron’s clients are looking to “get into shape” either by losing weight, or in some cases, gaining weight, while others are training for a specific athletic event.  His clients range in age from 12 to 82.

 

Ron often works with special populations; including those suffering from Fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, as well as, rehabilitation from injury,   stroke and cardiovascular disease.  In addition, he has helped individuals in lowering both high-blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Regardless of their goals, Ron’s clients have one thing in common; they are looking for a better quality of life through exercise. Through education, motivation and old-fashioned hard work, Ron assists his clients in achieving and often times exceeding these goals.

 

In 1995, Ron began bringing his “fitness philosophy” to a more public forum. For over five years he hosted a radio talk show called Fit for Life on the area’s number one rated AM station. As host and producer, he interviewed guests ranging from international authors and health professionals to local experts and athletes. These days, Ron is in the guest seat and can be seen and heard on both TV. and radio talk shows throughout the region. In addition to guest appearances, Ron writes a monthly column for the Southern Dutchess News highlighting the latest discoveries in health and fitness and offering practical advice to those aspiring to live a healthier life style.

 

In 2005 Ron successfully summited  Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa he also has summited Mt Rainier in the state of Washington. Currently, Ron serves as Manager of Personal Training at Gold’s in LaGrange New York. Since starting in 2005, he has steadily grown the personal training program. In 2006 Ron designed and implemented the GAPS (Gold’s Athletic Performance School) program. Ron’s objective is to provide the membership with a comprehensive program that caters to their needs by offering skilled, caring fitness professionals who can provide personalized service with effective results.

 

When Ron is not actively training, he is often called upon to give fitness presentations to groups as diverse as the local rotary club to more prominent groups, such as fitness peers or nationally recognized corporations
